Amaircare Filter Types And Available Filter Options

To guarantee the Highest efficiency in Removal from the air of all solid airborne air contaminates and gaseous pollutants Amaircare air purifiers and systems employ the multi-stage air filtration systems consisting of the following filter stages.

FIRST STAGE - PRE FILTERS

Amaircare air purifiers typically use the foam or carbon non-woven blanket pre-filters to trap large dust and dirt particles.
The pre-filters play an important role in protecting fine True HEPA filters from faster contamination by large dust and dirt particles.

• Foam Pre Filters
  Foam pre-filters are washable reusable pre-filters used as a wrap around HEPA filters or Carbon filter canisters.
  
  
• Carbon Blanket Pre-Filters
  Typically used in some older models of Amaircare air purifiers, Carbon blanket pre-filters can be usedinstead of Foam pre-filters to boost the adsorption capacity for chemicals and odors.
  
  
• Aluminum Mesh Pre-Filters
  Aluminum mesh Pre-filters are used in some of the Heavy Duty Amaircare models such as, 6000V AirWash Cart or 7500 AirWash Cart to trap large construction dust.
  
  
• Media Pad and Pleated Pre-Filters
  The Medial Pad and the Pleated Pre-filters are also used in some models of commercial and industrial Heavy Duty air purifiers such as AirWash MultiPro and AirWash MultiPro BOSS as additional filter-barriers for construction and industrial dust.
  
  

SECOND STAGE - TRUE HEPA FILTERS

To guarantee the perfect air cleaning result in removal of all sub-micron airborne particulates (allergens and lung damaging dust etc) all Amaircare air purifiers use the 99.97% efficiency True HEPA filters.
The types of True HEPA filters used in Amaircare air purifiers include:

• Snap-On HEPA Cartridges
  Replacement HEPA cartridges are typically used in portable air purifier models such as: Roomaid, Roomaid Mini, 1100 and some older models.
  Replacement HEPA cartridges offer a convenience of fast and easy HEPA filter replacements without require any tools.
  
  
• Molded HEPA Filters
  Molded (moulded) HEPA filters are typically used in older Amaircare air purifiers - models: 2500, 3000, 3050, 4000, 4000V, 5000V, 6500, 8500, 10000 TriHEPA.
  The molded HEPA filters were phased out in year 2016 and replaced with HEPA filters of Easy Twist Amaircare proprietary design, but are still available as replacement filters.
     
• EasyTwist HEPA Filters
  The Easy-Twist HEPA filters use the Amaircare proprietary design and are used in majority of current portable, central, commercial and industrial air purifiers.
  The Easy-Twist HEPA filters ensure a 100% seal of the filter compartment and offer a fast tolless (no tools) filter replacement procedure.

Important Notice!
Over the course of years 2015-2016 all 8" and 16" Molded HEPA Filters were replaced with the corresponding 8" and 16" Easy Twist HEPA Filters in the following Amaircare models:

• Amaircare 2500, 3000 portable air purifiers.
  
• 10000 TriHEPA Central air purifiers.

Therefore, True HEPA filters and the Annual Filter kits are Not the Same in the same models of Amaircare air purifiers manufactured before and after of year 2015-2016.
Exercise caution while selecting the replacement filters for the above models.

THIRD STAGE - CARBON FILTERS

There is a choice of Amaircare activated carbon filters to meet the requirements for effective removal of all regular or most specific chemicals substances. The carbon filter options include:

• Carbon Blanket Filter
  Carbon blanket filter is a basic carbon filter for adequate removal of light household chemicals and odors.
  
  
• VOC Canister with 100% Carbon
  The VOC canister with 100% carbon provides enhanced removal of moderate household chemicals, cigarette smoke, VOCs.
  
  
• VOC Canister with Formaldezorb
  The VOC canister with Formaldezorb proprietary adsorbent provides enhanced adsorption of ammonia, formaldehyde, VOCs and other specific chemicals.
  
  
• ULTRA VOC Canister
  The oversize carbon canister with a massive 30 lbs. amount of 100% Carbon or Forlmaldezorb adsorbent offers a superior rate of adsorption of heavy chemicals, VOC, formaldehyde and other toxic chemical substances.
  
  

ANNUAL FILTER KITS

While True HEPA filters typically last for up to 3 to 5 years in residential or office environment, the pre-filter and Caron filters / carbon filter canisters have to be replaced more often.
For the convenience of the Amaircare air purifier owners, the Pre-Filters and Carbon filters are assembled in the Annual Filter Kits.
The Annual filter kits contain a set of Pre-filters and Carbon filters which guarantees the sufficient performance of the air purifier in the typical air cleaning environment for One Full Year of operation.
The Standard Annual Filter Kits contain a basic set of Pre-filters and Carbon blanket filters for general air cleaning purposes.
The Plus Annual Filter Kits contain VOC canisters with either 100% Granulated Carbon or proprietary Formaldezorb adsorbent for a superior rate of adsorption of toxic chemicals, cigarette smoke, VOCs, formaldehyde, ammonia, pesticides, etc.
Other types of Specialty Adsorbents for specific  application are also available on demand at extra cost.

Amaircare Filter Change Schedule

To keep the performance of your Amaircare air purifier at a sufficient level the filters have to be replaced according to the manufacturer's recommended filter replacement schedule, or when they get clogged with airborne dust and allergens or full with adsorbed chemicals.
