Central Vacuum Systems, Installation & Parts

Clean stronger, breathe easier, and make vacuuming more convenient with a professionally designed central vacuum system for your home.

Powerful Whole-Home Cleaning New Construction & Retrofit Installs Hoses, Inlets, Pipe & Parts Serving Utah Since 1963
Why Central Vacuum?

A Cleaner, More Convenient Way to Vacuum Your Home

A central vacuum system is one of the most powerful and hygienic ways to clean your home. Unlike portable vacuums that can recirculate dust and exhaust air back into the room, a properly installed central vacuum system carries dirt, dust, allergens, and fine particles away through a dedicated pipe network.

Your Local Central Vacuum Experts

Swiss Boy Vacuum has been Utah’s central vacuum specialist since 1963. We have designed, installed, repaired, and serviced central vacuum systems in homes across the Wasatch Front, including Bountiful, Salt Lake City, Davis County, Weber County, and surrounding areas.

We carry complete central vacuum systems from trusted brands like VacuFlo and Intervac, retractable hose systems from Hide-A-Hose and Chameleon, plus hoses, power nozzles, inlet valves, pipe, fittings, installation materials, and replacement parts.

We Don’t Just Sell Central Vacuums

We install them, service them, repair them, and help keep them running for decades.

System Basics

What’s in a Central Vacuum System?

Every central vacuum system has the same core components. The way those parts are sized, placed, and installed determines how well the system performs and how easy it is to use for the life of your home.

Power Unit

The motor and filtration canister, usually mounted in a garage, basement, or utility room. It should be sized to your home’s square footage and cleaning needs.

Inlet Valves

Wall-mounted ports where your hose plugs in. Low-voltage inlets start the system automatically, while electric inlets can power motorized nozzles.

Hose & Tools

Your hose carries suction to the cleaning head. Options include standard hoses, electric hoses, garage kits, and retractable hose systems.

Pipe & Fittings

A 2-inch PVC pipe network runs through the home and connects each inlet back to the power unit for whole-home cleaning.

Installation Options

New Construction or Existing Home?

Central vacuum systems can be installed in new homes, remodels, and many existing homes. The best approach depends on your layout, attic or crawl space access, and the kind of hose system you want.

New Construction

If you are building a new home, contact us during the framing stage. Rough-in is usually straightforward and cost-effective while the walls are open.

Existing Homes

We retrofit central vacuum systems regularly and can often route pipe through attics, crawl spaces, garages, basements, and closets with minimal disruption.
