The Hide-A-Hose 40-foot SmartSoc Hose with Large Cuff (Part 50412) is the mid-length configuration of the Hide-A-Hose retractable central vacuum hose system, providing 10 additional feet of cleaning reach over the 30-foot model for larger rooms, master bedroom suites, and open-concept living areas. Like all Hide-A-Hose Rapid Flex hoses, the 40-foot version stores completely inside the wall tubing when not in use - pulled out to clean, then released to retract automatically, leaving no hose to manage or store.

Part 50412 comes with a larger 1-3/8-inch large cuff at the user end rather than the standard mini cuff, which provides a slight airflow advantage and allows direct compatibility with certain 1-3/8-inch wand and attachment systems. The pre-installed SmartSoc hose sock protects walls and furniture during use and can be washed without removal from the hose by detaching the assembly from the valve and washing in a bathtub with mild soap. The sock is dried completely before retracting back into the pipe.

The 40-foot hose length must match the pipe run it is installed in - a pipe run designed for 30-foot hoses cannot accommodate a 40-foot hose.
