The Rainbow vacuum is manufactured by Rexair LLC, based in Troy, Michigan, and the current flagship is the E2 series — the most refined iteration of a water-filtration vacuum design that has been in continuous development since the 1930s. The Rainbow/Rexair E-series uses a motorized separator that spins the incoming debris-laden airstream against the water surface, maximizing the amount of debris trapped in the basin. The HEPA filter at the exhaust side catches any remaining fine particles that make it through the water bath, providing a two-stage filtration system that exhausts genuinely clean air.
