Hide-A-Hose, Chameleon & Vroom

These systems all store the hose inside the wall, but they differ in hose design, inlet design, and the kinds of installations they fit best.

Hide-A-Hose: a true self-retracting hose system available in multiple hose lengths and configurations. It is the retractable system Swiss Boy installs most frequently.
Chameleon: a flexible retractable system with an inlet design that can work especially well when a retrofit does not allow a perfectly straight hose path.
Vroom: a compact H-P Products retractable assembly commonly used with Vacuflo systems and in smaller spaces.

New Construction vs. Retrofit

Retractable systems are easiest to plan while walls are open, but many finished homes can also be retrofitted. The available wall cavity and route back to the central vacuum pipe network determine which system and inlet location will work best.
