The hose is the link between your central vacuum system and every room in your home. Choosing the right hose determines whether your vacuum turns on automatically when you plug in, whether your power nozzle gets the electricity it needs, and whether your system is genuinely comfortable to use every day.
Swiss Boy carries a full range of central vacuum hoses for every system type and cleaning style — from complete power team kits that bundle hose, power nozzle, and wand together, to individual electric hoses, standard suction hoses, and specialized garage kits for utility cleaning.
How to Choose the Right Hose
The most important question is whether you have a low-voltage or direct-connect electric system. Low-voltage systems use a signal wire in the hose that activates the power unit when plugged into the inlet — the most common setup in residential installations. Direct-connect electric hoses carry 120V current through the hose to power an electric power nozzle. Standard (non-electric) hoses use suction only and work with turbine-driven or non-motorized tools.
If you're replacing an existing hose, match the inlet connection type (1-3/8" or 1-1/4"), hose length (most residential hoses are 30–35 feet), and handle style to your current setup. Not sure? Bring the old hose in or call us at 801-298-3656 — we can identify it from a photo or description.
