Whether you're installing a central vacuum system in new construction, retrofitting an existing home, or extending an existing system to a new room or garage, the pipe and fittings are what make it all work. Swiss Boy stocks everything needed for a complete installation — 2" PVC pipe, elbows, tees, couplings, stud brackets, and complete DIY rough-in kits that bundle the most commonly needed components together.
New Construction vs. Retrofit
New construction installations are the most straightforward — pipe runs inside open walls before drywall goes up, inlet valve locations are planned into the framing, and the power unit is mounted before the mechanical room is finished. If you're building in Utah and want a central vacuum rough-in, call us early in the framing stage and we can design the layout for your floor plan.
Retrofit installations in finished homes require more planning — pipe typically runs through attic or crawl space and drops into finished walls at inlet locations. It's more involved but very achievable, and Swiss Boy has retrofitted central vacuum systems into hundreds of existing Utah homes. We're happy to walk you through a DIY retrofit or quote a professional installation.
DIY Rough-In Kits
Our rough-in kits include the inlet valve, inlet cover, pipe stub, low-voltage wire, and mounting hardware for each vacuum port location — everything you need per room, bundled together so you're not sourcing components individually. Available in 2-inlet, 3-inlet, and custom configurations.
