The Hayden 791700A is a square door central vacuum inlet with low voltage connections only, engineered as a direct replacement for Hayden 1700, 1701, 1702, and 1703 series inlets in almond finish. This inlet valve features a precise 1-1/2 inch opening with mounting screws positioned exactly 4 inches apart, designed to fit standard 1-5/8 inch rough-in holes in residential and commercial installations.

The valve construction incorporates two brass-plated metal contact points positioned inside the inlet opening, connected to two terminal screws on the back panel for 24V DC low voltage wire connections. The square door design allows flexible mounting with the hinged lid opening either upward or downward to accommodate various installation requirements and furniture placement.

This universal inlet design activates through direct contact between the vacuum hose cuff and the internal metal contact points, eliminating the need for wall-mounted switches.
